Community Impact

With 10,000 Americans turning 65 every day, this is one of the fastest-growing age groups in the U.S.

At Building Hope Project, we understand the positive impact that growing old in your own home and community can have. That’s why we partner with families, communities and local organizations to help older adults improve their homes and their quality of life so they can flourish where they live.

Every week we receive calls from social workers or friends of older adults who need help with home repairs to keep their homes livable.

The Building Hope Project can keep repair costs low and help older homeowners improve their homes, thanks to volunteers and local in-kind donors. Each repair is a true community endeavor to keep aging neighbors in and part of the community. Local businesses and contractors donate materials, labor, appliances and supplies. Every repair brings independence and security and fosters safe, livable homes where older adults can thrive.

Acts of compassion are needed in every community.

Roofing and wheelchair ramp needs are two of Treasure Valley’s greatest home help requests for elderly and disabled homeowners.

Bartlett Roofing Partners with Building Hope

The Building Hope Project partnered with Bartlett Roofing to completely replace a senior citizen's roof. On a fixed income and looking at a $20,000 job cost, Uli had nowhere to turn after her insurance company told her she would no longer be insurable if she didn't replace her roof. Several companies and churches came together to cover the cost of Uli's roof and ensure her a safe home to continue to live in.
