2016 Women Build Day Event sponsored by Lowe’s
National Women Build Week, sponsored annually by Lowe’s, challenges women from all walks of life to help eliminate poverty housing. Each May, during the days leading up to Mother’s Day, thousands of women (and men) volunteers join in Women Build Days at Habitat affiliates.
Huge success! Because of the outpouring of support, we were able to complete an entire day’s work on the build site by 1:00 in the afternoon! We were almost concerned there wouldn’t be enough for everyone to do we had such a huge response!
For over 20 years, Canyon County Habitat for Humanity has been directly involved in the Nampa and Caldwell community, providing affordable, safe housing to those who need a hand up, not a hand out. Women Build Week helps Habitat raise awareness and recruit more volunteers to accomplish our mission while empowering women of all ages. The Women Build program is without a doubt, one of our most beloved events of the year and I am pleased to say that 2016 has been the best yet! The partnership of a tireless team and generous donors truly made the 2016 Women Build event spectacular for everyone involved. Thank you to all of our amazing donors and sponsors!

We would like to give our gratitude to our very special donors, the Junior Catholic Daughters of America for providing today’s lunch;
And to the First Presbyterian Church of Nampa for providing all volunteer snacks.
